A Blessed Devotee Parvati-3
Episode - 91
This past month Parvati has been visiting various temples which she says she has never done in her life.
Not out of choice but by divine destiny.
A few days back she desperately wanted to visit Nemili Sri Bala.
She called her friend to ask if she also wanted to visit the temple. Her friend immediately agreed and on Monday (4th of Dec) planned to go to Chennai by flight and return the same night.
When they reached Nemili, she was fortunate to have spent a long time with Bala / Chittu.
Chittu was wearing a red and white patterned skirt. The whole place (it is a small house converted to a temple) was filled with different pictures/ vigrahas of Bala in various forms.

The Peetadhipathi (elderly priest) spoke to them for a long time - enquired about their whereabouts and explained the history of the temple.
He also told that out of a 100 people who call the Peetam only a selected few would be able to visit the temple. And Chittu would only allow those She wishes to see.
(I would write another episode (next week) on the prominence and the history of Nemili Bala)
After speaking to them for some time, he went inside and came out with a silk cloth.
He came towards Parvati and said ‘Bala asked me to give this to you. This was worn by her. I don’t know why She asked me to give it to you’.
Imagine the surprise, wonder and happiness one gets when receiving special gift from Devi Maa Herself.

Parvati was so happy and excited that her face was glowing like the sun.
A very blessed Parvati and her friend then proceeded to Thiruvannamalai.
After visiting the main temple and praying to Arunachalesa, they went to pray at Patala lingam. When she was about to come out, the priest called her back and handed over a lemon kept at the feet of Bhagawan.

Imagine, without much planning we think of going to a temple and that day turns out to be the most auspicious day.
4th Dec 2018 was a Monday and that too the last Monday of Kartika month, the most auspicious day for Shiva.
What can one say about these blessings?
An icing to the cake….
As soon as she returned home she saw…
Fresh Kumkum marks on her altar area.
To take you back a little…
She offers kumkum to Devi Maa every day and it is almost a small pile of kumkum now.
From the past few days…
She has been observing that whenever she pray or come back from temple or even sometimes when she wakes up in the morning ...
The pile of kumkum is slightly disturbed and some kumkum speard near the puja area as if a tiny baby has stepped on the kumkum and walked around the area.

This has been happening from past 10 days and the same happened when she came back from Nemili too.
I said in one of the episodes that Kalpana consults Narayaneeyam to finds answers if in doubt.
Similarly Parvati finds answers through Bhagavatam.
She wondered how these kumkum marks were appearing…
And when she opened the Bhagavatam it indicated that it was none other than….
Our naughty Unni Kanna.

He also showed His presence in other ways …
She bought a slab of unsalted butter …
Before eating she closed her eyes and prayed ‘Kanna you like butter, you first take whatever you want, then only I will take’.
When she opened her eyes…
Wonder of wonders...
Can you see the finger mark on the butter???

One day she went for a walk and was speaking to Kalpana on phone…
Whilst walking she found one big feather…
A few steps later, one more feather slightly smaller than the previous one.
So on and so forth.
Totally she found 5 feathers one size small than the previous one.
The below picture is the feathers she found.

All in a span of half an hour of conversation with Kalpana.
Blessed is this person who is seeing so many miracles and within a few days.
I always tell her that Devi Maa and Kanna has some divine plans for her. Hopefully They would show the path to her when the time comes.
One on another day she thought that she should plan to go to Chakkulathukavu temple. In line with it she telephoned a person whom she knows to ask if he could arrange for a puja. Her intention was that she would visit sometime in the next two months.

Before she could say anything he said ‘Molee (daughter) you are coming on Sunday right?’
She was beyond shocked and could not reply to him other than saying yes.
It was as if Devi Maa had decided that her visit would be on that particular day.
See the coincidence…
The day that Devi Maa choose was 11.11, a Sunday auspicious day as it was Nagapanchami.
Although she agreed to go to temple, Parvati however was a little worried as she could not leave her son alone and travel.
If Devi Maa’s blessings are their wont She show us the way?
Whilst travelling in the car she was thinking of the hurdles (arrangement of someone to take care of her child) she had to face for this particular trip…
And there…
The words on the rear window a passing car read…
“My presence is with you wherever you go.”
And a thought popped into her mind that someday she would love to meet Kalpana and her Unni Kanna in person, suddenly a car passed with Kanna’s picture on its rear window.
Are these indications not enough for us to believe that Kanna is there with us always???

In this same trip, in the morning, on the way to Chakkulathukavu temple, she went to Ambalapuzha Sree Krishna temple.
Note:
Personally, I have heard a lot about this temple but never had the opportunity to visit. The palpayasam of this temple is very famous and I heard that we don’t get the same taste anywhere else and it is out of the world. Almost like the Srivari Laddu of Tirumala.
So Parvati had the darshan of Kanna before proceeding to Chakkulathukavu temple.

During her morning Manasika Pooja she had offered a blue saree to Devi. She was pleasantly surprised that the Chakkulathukavu Devi was adorned with blue saree.
Each temple has it’s own rituals and procedures.
In Chakkulathukavu temple…
A lady and an old man sit near the navagrahas and when the devotee tell their name and Nakshatram, they sing a song with a string instrument that Nagam likes. This singing to serpent god is called sarpappaattu or Sarpam paattu.
Imagine without prior knowledge Devi Maa made Parvati to visit Her temple and also made her do this ritual on the Nagapanchami day.
On the way back from Chakkulathukavu temple, Parvati had a feeling that she has to go back to Ambalapuzha Sree Krishna temple again just to take the palpayasam.
When the calling comes can we ignore???
When she reached the temple, saw that payasam counter had a long queue and hence went for the darshan of our favourite Unni Kanna.
When she went inside and someone told her to stand at one place.
She stood there waiting and within minutes, realised kalabhabhishekam was about to happen!
(‘Kalabhabhishekam’ is a very important special pooja usually performed in Kerala for the strengthening of the chaithanya of the Deity. http://keralatanthra.blogspot.com/2013/03/the-symbolic-meaning-of-kalabhabhishekam.html )
Krishna vigraham was without any decoration, and she could witness kalabhabhishekam completely.

It was such a blissful experience!
At the end of it she realized that had she come a few minutes earlier or few minutes later she would have missed it.
Kanna wanted her to see His glory and hence made sure she would be there on time!
Being greedy for blessings, a thought crossed her mind ‘Kanna if You could give me some Manjadikuru it would be perfect’.
Viola!!!
A few steps and in front of her on the temple floor..
She found 3 manjadikuru!!!
Picking them up and thanking Kanna she thought ‘Kanna is always with me’ and took a few steps...
She found the fourth Manjadikuru.
What more can she ask for???

She has both Kanna and Devi Maa’s blessings.
I only pray that her blessing should grow day by day and Kanna should show her the divine path which He has planned for her.
