Chittithalli and Her Playfulness (3)
When Puttaparthi Sai Baba started coming to Mrs. Purna's house, vibuthi (sacred ash) used to appear from His picture every day and Mrs. Purna used to wash away the photo as she was scared of people’s reaction. She did not want to reveal to anyone about the happenings at her home.
On 40th day Baba gave vighras (idols), first, He gave Shiridi Sai Baba which frightened Mrs. Purna's husband. He discussed with other Sai devotees. This started the influx of devotees to their house with day and night bhajans and poojas. Many people got cured of illnesses with vibuthi given by Baba. Some were blessed with marriage and some with children.
After Chittithalli’s arrival Mrs. Purna’s life took a turn. Ganesha and Krishna also followed Her. Whenever Chittithalli used to put her hand in water and entire water would smell of camphor. Devotees would consume this water as prasadam. Whoever meditated in their house, would be disturbed by Chittu (that is how Mrs. Purna calls Amma). She used to put turmeric and Kumkum on their heads and sometimes she poured milk on them. Just to enjoy the pastimes of Chittu, devotees would come again and again and that too sometimes very early in the morning.
Every day during bhajans both Chittithalli and Krishna used to throw something like glass or plate from the kitchen and then their family members used to throw them back into the kitchen.
One day, one of devotees had a doubt regarding the presence of Chittithalli.
Being Para Shakti can’t she read our minds??
The devotee was sitting behind everyone in a corner and did not express his doubt to Mrs. Purna.
Suddenly out of nowhere a chapathi roller came hurling towards him hitting the wall next to him. The impact was so hard the roller broke into two pieces. Everyone was surprised. Later when Mrs. Purna enquired he told about his doubt.

Wow!! What a way to show your presence Chittithalli!!!
After the last episode one of the readers asked me for a clarification…
Has anyone seen Chittithalli other than Mrs. Purna?? And what form does she take??
There are a few incidents where people were blessed to see Her as well as Krishna.
One fine day Mrs. Purna's daughter and few other devotees were fortunate to see the shadows of Chittu and Krishna.
How????
Once when bhajan was going on, devotees saw a shadow. Chittithalli was piggy riding on Mrs. Purna's back and Krishna was on Chittu’s back. Both were swinging in tune with music playing in background.

So cute, both the children playing and swinging on their mother’s back.
The staff from a nearby super market to Mrs. Purna's house are also fortunate to see Chittu. As Mrs. Purna’s daughter works in a private bank she gets some coupons for shopping. The children take these to supermarket to buy whatever they like – ice creams, chocolates, biscuits etc. Staff from the super market saw a small girl using these coupons and asked the source. She proudly told them ‘My Akka (sister) gave me this’. But how would they know that She is Chittithalli who is none other than our Jaganmaatha.

As specified in one of our previous episodes, Mrs. Purna’s family are constructing an apartment complex in the place of the school which they had to close. One of the workers was wonder stuck to see a small three-year-old girl child wearing a frock going around the construction site. When Mrs. Purna went for a visit he told her about this child. Mrs. Purna felt happy for that worker and told him that he was blessed to see the child and that She is none other than Kanchi Kamakshi.
What a sight it must have been!!! AMMA going around and inspecting to ensure everything goes well.
Do you know if Ganesh does not eat what Chittu and Krishna do???
They lift the trunk of Ganesh and stuff food into his mouth.

Chittithalli prefers to eat only in a silver bowl. Once she finishes eating she throws it away like ‘use and throw’ plastic bowls.
Doll’s color change
As we specified, Chittithalli took the form of a doll in Mrs. Purna’s house. The doll’s face becomes red when she rolls around a lot. It also happened when She goes out into the hot sun for playing.
The following picture was taken on Her birthday when the children came back after their play on a sunny afternoon.

Sri Sai Baba's presence and miracles in Mrs. Purna's House
Puttaparthi Sai Baba had cured Mrs. Purna of cancer by operating on her. Mrs. Purna says that one night she could feel Baba operating on her stomach. When she got up in the morning she could see stitches at the place of operation. As she neglected taking care, the next day, the stiches broke showing a big gash.
Chittithalli used to say Amma has a big hole in her stomach we can pour water and food into it. Blood and water used to ooze out for around three to four months. Once when she went to see Baba in Puttaparthi she could feel blood oozing out, but when she went to her room to change the dressing she was shocked to see that there was no wound at all.

Baba used to bless many a devotees who had come to Mrs. Purna’s house with Shiva Linga, jewellery, clothes etc.
Even now many a time Mrs. Purna says that Baba comes and takes bath in her house. Leaves his clothes and wears the clothes provided by Mrs. Purna.

In turn every festival she and her family gets blessed by clothes or jewellery by Baba.
Mrs. Purna is soo fortunate to take care of three Gods in their childhood form. Although it becomes difficult with age, no mother would like their children to leave home.
Likewise, Mrs. Purna says she enjoys their pastimes and mischievousness no matter what and how she is.
Pranamams to Chittithalli, Krishna, Ganesha and Baba.
