108 has a secial significance.Chanting Hanuman Chalisa 108 times daily or weekly will free the devotee from the bondage of life and death and bestowed with great spitual bliss.
In today's hectic lifestyle , it may be difficult to have disturbance free recitation of Hanuman Chalisa. Hence a devotee has contributed her strategy of reciting 108 times Hanuman Chalisa without interruptions and still carry on daily chores.

How to do 108 times Hanuman Chalisa by Smt Sridevi Eranki
One who recites Sri Hanuman Chalisa 108 times becomes Free from the bondage of life and death and enjoys highest bliss at last.
Many Hanuman temples organize mass Chalisa recitation . Please join such group at least once in a life time .
If you practice reciting daily, it will help completing 108 times even in your home .
It takes 2.5 to 3 hrs to recite Hanuman chalisa for 108 times. I used to do it every Tuesday and Saturday by starting @4:00 am and ending by 7:30am.

We watch a movie for 2.5-3 hrs by sitting in one place so why not recite Hanuman chalisa
I started 11 times per day for 41 days and then started to do 108 times every Tuesday and Saturday .
And daily I will recite without fail , It is just that we have to pick up speed without any mistakes and then can attempt.
I used to hold a flower recite the chalisa and put it at Hanuman 's feet . I did not use any pen or marking.
One can count the number of times recited using 108 vakkalu or beatlenuts big size. Offer one at Hanuman's feet after reciting chalisa once . Devotees also use rudraksha or Thulasi garland for counting . Vakkalu means nuts. Some say Hanuman likes them.
How do we ensure your family does not disturb you or phones or door bells ?
When I wake up @3:40 am. Everyone will be sleeping.By the time they wake up and start for school I will be done
Last 21 times usually I start my work in the kitchen by cooking and preparing the lunch / breakfast.
I never counted how many years I did
There are a lot of experiences.
I feel lord Rama is protecting all the time. As we praise Hanuman Lord Rama will take care of us and where ever Rama is , the whole family of his including Hanuman will be present.
At the end offer prasadam.
108 times a week , times 4 weeks , times 12 month is total 5184 times chalisa in just one year , one can imagine if it's 10 yrs it is 50184.

"Both my kids recite Hanuman chalisa daily before going to school. I started teaching them a line a day when we start at home and by the time we reach school and we used to recite the previous lines before starting a new line each day.We used to do it in the car. Now they can recite the Chalisa completely , with devotion" .
This way Mrs.Sridevi children have learnt Aditya Hrudayam too, and now they are learning Sri Lalitha Sahasranamam.

Story behind Sri Hanuman Chalisa by Sant Tulisidas
Sant Tulisidas , was called by the Emperor Akbar in his court , after hearing that Tulsidas had Darshan (had seen) of Lord Rama. Akbar doubted on the truth of Shri Ram’s existence and he asked Tulsidas to show him Shri Ram. Tulsidas replied that Shri Ram gives Darshan (vision) to his Bhaktas (devotees) only , but still the Emperor imprisoned him. In the prison Tulsidas wrote Hanuman Chalisa , in the praise of Lord Hanuman, which has 40 verses in Simple Awadhi language.
40 means Chalis i.e. why this poem came to be known as Hanuman Chalisa. After completing Hanuman chalisa a force of monkeys attacked the town of Akbar, the whole force of Akbar could not stop the monkeys from doing mischief in the town ,at last on the advise of wise ministers Akbar released Tulsidas and at a sudden the monkeys stop troubling and left the town.
