Imagine a very heavy iron box falling from the table top on our foot and what pain it would cause us.
As it was late evening all the clinics were closed and they could not take an X-ray. Kalpana was very worried, however Kalpana’s aunt who is a doctor came to her rescue and asked her to wait for the night for the X-ray. By next day morning Malavika could move her foot a little. As they had already scheduled their temple visit, Kalpana asked her daughter to stay back at home. Malavika would not hear of it. She is very passionate about visiting temples that too Devi Maa’s. Though she was limping she went and sat in the car.
When they reached Chakkulathukavu, they wanted to go to temple pond. As it was rainy season the steps to the pond was slippery. However, holding Kalpana’s hand she walked down the steps and stood in the water for around 5 minutes praying to Devi Maa.

When she climbed the steps Malavika was surprised and elated…
She shouted to her mother saying ‘Amma, see the swelling of the toe is gone and there is no pain at all. I can walk normally now’.
Such is the faith and blessings of this family.
They then went to Chottanikkara temple (mother Goddess Lakshmi Devi). As it was Friday the crowd was too much.
Along with their family, her extended family also were with them. Due to the crowd there was a lot of pushing and pulling when the temple doors opened. They met a couple near the temple who said they stay near the temple. When the entered the sanctum sanctorum, Aditya could see Devi Maa ins Her physical form sitting and smiling at him and not the statue. When they came out Malavika wanted the shakkara payasam that was normally sold as prasadam. It was not feasible for them to get it as they had to buy the ticket and have to bring a bottle to collect the prasadam. Suddenly out of nowhere, the couple whom they met before entering the temple came towards them. They were carrying a bottle of prasadam and gave first to Malavika and then to others and left as suddenly as they came.
Do we need to think and analyse who this couple is???

She wakes up almost every day working at around 3.30 or 4 am to prepare lunch box for Suresh. So one Friday when she wanted to do Shuba Durga vratam as usual she woke up early and realised that she had not ordered the lemons for the diya. When she walked to the refrigerator suddenly she could see Devi Maa opening it and showing her the lemons. When she came back to the kitchen, she was surprised to see that the jaggery that she kept outside to make payasam was missing. She searched everywhere the cupboards top and bottom. Alas! She could not find it anywhere. Finally when she opened draw where she keeps the spoons she found the jaggery packet in it. When she asked loudly who kept the packet here, she could see Devi Maa smiling naughtily at her. And while preparing the shakkara payasam, Kalpana could feel Devi Maa looking over her shoulder looking into the pot and smiling.
On this day she saw the Kali roopam of Devi. When she lighted the diya, she could feel the presence of Devi next to her. As soon as Kalpana completed the vratam Devi Maa disappeared.
Kalpana says Devi Maa loves the Shuba Durga vratam very much.
