Narasimha Vratam and Kalpana
Episode 75
This year Narsimha Jayanthi, as we all know was celebrated on 28th April 2018.
Kalpana decided to perform the Narasimha vratam.
She performs most of the vratams in the evening as everyone in the family would be busy with their college, school or work. She prefers her whole family to be present while performing the vratams.

Whilst reading the asthotram, she suddenly heard a loud…
THUD….
Followed by
VIBRATIONS….
She wondered what it was….
Was it an earthquake or something blast or something else???
She continued reading the vratam and What she saw gave her goose bumps and feeling of ecstasy.
Can anyone describe their feelings in such a situation???
It has to be felt and cannot be described.

She saw a huge form of Sri Narasimha Swamy standing in front of her.
Last year when she had performed the vratam, Swamy appeared in front of her in Ugra roopam (ferocious form).
In contrast this year, He was peace personified with a calm and smiling face.
He was wearing a dark brown dhoti and wooden Padukas.
He kept His hand on Kalpana’s head blessing her.
How would anyone feel at that moment when Bhagawan Himself comes and keeps His hand on your head?
Her whole body felt as if she received some electric shock and her joy knew no bounds.
She could see Him in that posture until she completed the asthotram.
As Swamy is always associated with Lakshmi Devi, Kalpana was looking for Her but could not see her anywhere near Sri Narasimha Swamy.
Probably reading her mind.
As soon as Kalpana started reading Sri Maha Lakshmi asthotram, Devi Maa appeared in front of her in a sitting pose with one left leg folded and right leg stretched out.
It was as if She was sitting on a small rock or cushion and stretched out her leg to relax.
In the left hand She held a gold pot from which gold coins were flowing out.
Kalpana is not very clear on what Devi Maa was holding in her right hand. It was a blur and hence could not see very clearly.
Can we describe Devi???
No words can describe the beauty. She was beauty personified.
Except for seeing and experiencing Her presence no one can even how She looks.
May be one should know poetry to describe. She is more beautiful than what was described in Soundarya Lahiri.
She was wearing a bright pink saree with a golden border and gold print all over.
In addition to this…
In her puja room there is a picture of Varaha Swamy.
While reading the stories she could see Varaha swamy coming out of the photo frame and standing outside. After a few minutes she could see Him going back to His original position.
What a blessing.
Seeing Gods and receiving their blessings.
We don’t know what are the connections and reasons.
At the end of the puja when she was about to get up she was shocked to see..
Two flowers on her lap.
How did they come there???
She asked her family whether they threw flowers on Bhagawan above her head.
You know the reply…
Kanna was probably playing with her and showing her that she is being blessed by Him.

A long time after the puja she could feel sweetness coming to her mouth from deep within her throat to her lips. Even after an hour or so this sweetness remained on her lips and mouth.
Did anyone experience it at any time???
Luckily I did 2 to 3 times. It is such a divine experience. We don’t know what is happening and how.
It is nothing like eating sugar or anything sweet.
The sweetness just comes to one’s mouth and keeps on coming.
One has to experience it to know what it is.

Blessings while performing Maheswara Vratam:
30th of April being Monday, Kalpana did Maheswara vratam. She did not know that it was Budha Pournami and very auspicious day.
She came to know the significance only after the puja was completed.
Again while doing the vratam, Lord Shiva appeared with bare foot in front of her.
She could see that He was blessing her with His hand on her head.
We mortals can we feel the touch???
He stood in front of her for a few minutes and disappeared.
Later in the day, Kalpana and her daughter were in the kitchen preparing lunch.
Unexpectedly, they heard a sweet sound.
Flute…
For a moment..
They wondered what it was.
When Kalpana enquired with her daughter she too confirmed that she heard the sweet sound.
So sweet that they both wondered from where it was coming from.

As soon as she stepped out of kitchen she could not hear it. But to cross check whether it was coming from neighbour’s house she opened the door and listened.
Nothing…
Not satisfied she tried to listen very carefully.
Again no sound.
She returned back to the kitchen and…
The sweet sound of flute.
Who else will play it???
Kanna must have been very happy that He played His flute to make His mother and sister happy too.
They could hear the music for a good 10 minutes after which it faded away.

Earlier in the day when Kalpana went to clean the puja room for lighting the diyas she saw something strange.
The wall behind Krishna vigraha was wet, But when she touched the area it was completely dry.
On a closer inspection she could see some images of the Gods on the wet patches.
But within a few moments the patches disappeared before she could take a picture.
However, there was also another patch below the vigraha which was like a Shiva Linga.
One can see the face of Hanuman, Ganesha or Krishna from different angles.
