Three Generations of Blessed Devotees - Devi Priya - 2
Episode 61
“In addition to Guru, worship God too”
Taking these words of Sai Baba seriously, Devi Priya started praying to Durga Devi and started Abhisekham for Lord Shiva.
When some things happen we can only realise why only after some significant incidents.
Call it destiny or whatever you want when blessings start there is no end to it.
While looking for something on the internet, Devi came across Achyuthan website and through it Sri Venkateswara vratam written by Sri Viswapathi.
Every Saturday she religiously started doing the vratam, observing fast till evening and then partaking the prasadam after the evening prayers.
Which God would not be pleased by this type of diligent prayers??
Bhagawan was very pleased. At the end of 4 months i.e around 16 weeks of regular vratam, He gave her darshan in a dream in the form of Lord Maha Vishnu.

Bhagawan was very pleased. At the end of 4 months i.e around 16 weeks of regular vratam, He gave her darshan in a dream in the form of Lord Maha Vishnu.
The dream was so vivid ….
Lord Vishnu fed her ‘a heap of cooked rice from the side of his palm’.
She could feel the touch of His palm on her lips.
Taking this as an indication,
At the earliest opportunity, they visited Tirumala. When they went inside the sanctum sanctorum….
The Moola Virat (Main Statue), she saw was …
In her own words ‘I saw the Moola Virat as a dark young man who was wearing a lot of ornaments. I could see Him in human form and not as a statue. He was standing there looking at me with a lot of love’.
In the olden days, Shuka Maharshi was the only soul who saw Lord Venkateswara Swamy in real human form in holy sanctum sanctorium at Tirumala.
One who is destined only can see Lord Venkateswara standing in a human form in holy Tirumala.
It is believed that one should chant "Om Sri Shukhadhrughocharaaya Namaha" along with other regular Namams while having darshan of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala.
If destined the chanting devotee would be blessed with Lord Venkateswara darshan as Shukha Maharshi got.

Now who would not become emotional seeing their Bhagawan in flesh and blood? She started crying as soon as she saw this vision.
However…
Krishna Dasi also had a similar experience…
Although she saw Bhagawan in the same form as her daughter she also saw Swamy walking towards her.
What a blessed mother and daughter duo!!!
Returning from Tirupati, Devi Priya became interested in the other vratams of Sri Viswapthi and started performing all of them each on a particular day.
She had amazing experiences while and after performing the different vratams.
The very first time, while performing Subramanya vratam, as soon a she chanted ‘Om Subramanyaya Namaha’ she heard a loud knock on the main door of the house. When she went and checked there was no body at the door.
On Subramanya Shasti (2017) being a Friday, she decided to perform both Subramanya vratam as well as Shuba Durga vratam.
Although the day was dedicated to Subramanya swamy she wanted to perform Shuba Durga vratam. She asked pardon saying…
‘Subramanya Swamy!!! Please pardon me. I know it is important day for You.
But let me perform the Shuba Durga vratam first. She is Your mother as well as mother to all devotees like us. Please don’t misunderstand. Listen to her stories first while I read them. I will then perform your vratam.’

Saying so, she started reading the Shuba Durga vratam. As soon as she finished the first story…
The flower kept on the Subramanya swamy photo fell down.
The interesting thing was -- -- the flower had a long stalk and it was securely wedged between His photo and Sri Venkateswara swamy photo which was kept behind.
Devi Priya was very happy that Swamy showed His approval in this form.

Thanking Him for the blessings, she completed Durga vratam and then read the Subramanya vratam.
Once she performed the Ananda Aanjaneyam. While reading the third story..
Sri Hanuman is immortal. He is very gallant, very powerful and still lives to this day.He takes care of devotees who believe in Him. As soon as one thinks of Him, He comes in some or the other form and provides us strength. He would come in any form of a bird and remove our fear. We only have to think of Him whole heartedly, immediately He would protect us.
As soon as she read this paragraph, with a lot of innocence she had a thought…
‘How would Lord Hanuman, who is such a mighty person come in the form of a bird and remove the fear? Should I believe it?’
No sooner did the thought flashed…
She saw a bird flying in her house…
Where did it come from???

All the doors and windows were closed. There was no way a bird even remotely can fly into the house.
By any chance even if it has come where did it go??
Devi Priya doesn’t have an answer to it.
Performing these vratams has led to so many miraculous experiences…
Twice both mother and daughter saw a sudden flash of light passing in front of them in a closed room. It happened when they were discussing about departed souls who were in some way connected to them.
Doubting what she saw, she went to the puja room and requested Subramanya Swamy to confirm.
Immediately the pearl chain that they have put on the picture moved a little indicating what she saw was true.

When writing the alias names for the mother and daughter I had not thought about what to name Devi. Krishna Dasi had already told me to use ‘Krishna Dasi’ for herself.
While writing their introduction episode suddenly the name ‘DEVI PRIYA’ came to me for the daughter.
In line with the name Devi is indeed a Devi Priya (loved by Devi Maa).
After performing Shuba Durga vratam in one of her dreams she saw Durga Maa approaching her and pressing the Aagna chakra. Devi could feel energy coursing through her. May be opening the third eye for seeing the miracles that were going to unfold in her life.

Around 10 days later, she saw Durga Maa in the form of a turmeric idol sitting in front of her. Suddenly Durga Maa changed into an infant and crawled into Devi’s lap. She could hear someone saying the name ‘NILATHYALA’.
Almost every day Unni Kanna and Devi Maa show miracles in so many ways.
Many a time I am wonder stuck the different ways Unni Kanna and Devi Maa show their blessings to this mother–daughter duo.
Will need to wait for the next Episode to know more.
