We all know Geeta Menon is the soul sister of Kalpana. Both individually and together experienced and continue to experience a number of miracles.
Geeta in addition to being a Krishna devotee is also a staunch follower of Devi Maa.
We have in one of the episodes (Click here to read it) narrated Geeta’s experience of visiting Kailash and Manasa sarovar.
During this trip Geeta fell very sick and was doubtful whether she would be able to complete the parikrama. She had to be given oxygen for more than 6 to 7 times.
Throughout this trip there was one person with her who Geeta describes as ‘my saviour, my Devi Maa’.

Both of them travelled together as the husbands had not accompanied them for the trip.
They even shared rooms once or twice during the trip.
On the return journey while in Khatmandu the two again were allocated a double room to share. In the morning Geeta woke up to the sound of baby giggles and talks. She could see the lady sitting on her bed and watching a video clip on her mobile. It was of a small child - the lady’s niece (child of her younger sister).
She could feel the lady was a little sad while watching the video.
A voice started telling Geeta ‘tell her about Sri Venkateswara Vratam’.

A voice started telling Geeta ‘tell her about Sri Venkateswara Vratam’.
Why was this happening???
The reason being…
The lady has been married for 8 years and was issueless. Numerous visits to the doctors …
the only proclamation was ‘there was nothing wrong with both of you’. Imagine the pain, the lady must be have gone through being issueless even after 8 years of marriage.
Hesitantly, bowing to the voice’s command Geeta told her about the Sri Venkateswara vratam and explained the process as well as the blessings of Sri. Viswapathi. She also guided her to pray to Devi Maa - to invite Her to come as a daughter. And that she would visit Devi
temple along with the baby and offer prayers.

Immediately the lady opened the internet on her mobile and read the vratam.
From Delhi, Geeta continued her onward journey to her home in Canada, while the lady stayed back in India for a few days to visit her parents. As soon as she reached her parent’s house she performed the vratam.
Wonder of wonders!!!!
The third month of starting the vratam she conceived and is now the proud parent of a baby girl ‘MRUDULA’.

The lady name is Mythili.
Mythili feels so blessed that she continues to perform the vratam every month.
For some blessed people the vratam phalam is instantaneous. Again Mythili without a question showed her belief in the vratam. May be that is the reason for such an instant blessing.
Devi Maa Blessings:
As said earlier Geeta is very devoted to Devi Maa. She prays and performs puja to Her every day.
Geeta has a habit of talking to Devi Maa telling Her how beautiful She is; admiring Her grace, charm, beauty and divinity. She constantly pampers Devi by talking to Her and calling sweet names like Shiva Sundari, Shiva Priye, Shiva Prana Vallabhe, Shiva Ardhangini, Shiva Mohini …… so and so forth.

There is a Vaishno Devi temple near to Geeta’s place in Canada and she is a regular visitor to the temple.
As usual around 2 to 3 months back, when she went to the temple she stood in front of Devi Maa and started admiring the beauty of Mother Goddess. That day Devi was adorned with a beautiful white Gujarati saree with a big red border. This type of sarees are used traditionally worn during weddings.

Geeta always admired this type of saree and was searching for friends who could get one of the same for her.
However, she was just waiting and waiting…
Geeta saw near the feet of Devi and recited Devi Mahatyam and Lalitha Sahasranamam.
After finishing her recitation she sat admiring the glow and beauty of Devi Maa and mentally told her ‘Maa, I love the saree you are wearing. You look so resplendent in it. Can I get one of this for myself?’
Suddenly the priest who was sitting a few feet away came to the sanctum sanctorum and asked Geeta to move out. Thinking that he was going to close the temple, she told him that she still had to complete her pradakshina.
He, however, insisted on her stepping out and then drew the curtains. There were one or two devotees in the temple and Geeta sat there chatting with them.
A good 10 to 15 mins later, the priest opens the curtain and shows Devi Maa who was decked up with a peach coloured brocade saree.

As is the case in all temples, He started folding the white saree to keep it in the cupboard.
Many temples later auction these sarees once or twice a year so that devotees could buy them as blessings and wear them.
Geeta observed that he was about to put the saree in the cupboard and as if someone prompted him…
Walked up to Geeta and said..
‘You want the saree, here take it’. He also picked the glass bangles adorning Devi’s vigraha and handed over them to Geeta.
What a blessed soul!!!!

What a blessed soul!!!!
She just requested and Devi Maa grants her wish.
The most surprising thing was….
It was 11am in the morning.
And as far as we know, once Devi is adorned after the abhishekam, the saree is changed only on Fridays or on important festival days. This was a Tuesday.
Have you seen or heard, a priest changing the saree of Devi Maa at 11am that too when it is almost closing time???
Almost a similar incident…
On another day, Devi Maa was decorated with a Maroon saree and was looking very beautiful with a large number of glass bangles adorning her both hands.
Geeta again admiringly told Devi ‘the bangles are very beautiful and they look wonderful on your hands’.
The priest who was giving out prasadam at the counter (which was a little farther away) suddenly came back and took 2 dozen bangles from both the hands of Devi Maa and gave them to Geeta.
Who and what prompted him to do so???

Only he and Mother Goddess knows!!!
