Believe It Or Not
“Those who are not faithful in devotional service cannot attain Me, O conqueror of enemies. Therefore they return to the path of birth and death in this material world.” Bhagavad-gita (9.3)
We have been blessed with a number of scriptures which were passed on through generations. All scriptures describe the Almighty in clear terms and discusses various devotional paths to approach Him. Scholars through the ages have interpreted them in different ways.
Each morning most of us approach God in our own big or small way. Some of us just light the lamp, some offer prasad and meditate for a few minutes. In addition, some chant the namajapam (names of our favourite God) and others meditate for a longer time and pray in their own different ways.

In whatever way we do, this is always the last request that we put to our maker- "Oh God! Please bless me ….. I should get selected in the interview; please give me more money; please settle my marriage with a good partner; let so and so’s health be alright and so on and so forth…….". We also have a barter system…, if you do this for me, I will do this for you. Well, all that we ask for are materialistic things, isn’t it? How many times do we say "Thank you God for what you have given me and my family! I am contended with my life. Please give me the strength to only pray to you and not deviate from you". Let us put our hands on our heart and answer this question. Most of us, I am sure have not even once in our life time, would have thanked God for what HE has given us.
And then we expect God to bless us and fulfil all our wishes……….. Do we do our part sincerely for HIM to fulfil our wishes?
And then we expect God to bless us and fulfil all our wishes……….. Do we do our part sincerely for HIM to fulfil our wishes?
We all want HIM to show his blessings and how?…. through materialistic gains?? Is that what we really want or are we looking for something else? When problems come our way, why do we always question HIM ‘why me’? Why can’t we accept them as HIS way of testing our devotion? Are we really ready to take HIS test?
Most of us only go to HIM only when we are in distress. For a pure devotee, it is different. Devotees like Surdas, Annamacharya, Senanayi, Poonthanam, Kurooramma completely surrendered to God. Their life always revolved around God and immersed themselves in HIM. Whatever happened, they accepted it as God’s will. It is believed that Krishna lived in their house and used to play with them.
Does this still happen in this Kaliyug? Is anyone in this world so blessed that Krishna choses to show his presence in their house?
Sometime or the other we have either heard, seen or read miracles of different Gods either in the form of honey/ vibhuti coming from the statue; appearance of God in pictures or even appearing in dreams (to guide). Believing or not believing is a matter of choice.
How would you react if God chose to live in your house?
Are we really that fortunate?
But Lord Krishna choosing to live with a family? Would you believe me…..?

WHEN THE TIME COMES GOD HIMSELF SHOWS US THE PATH AND IF WE CAN CONNECT THE DOTS IN OUR LIFE, THE PATH WILL BE OBVIOUS.
Well, I am lucky enough to know one family, whom I would call the ‘Krishna family’.
When I first discussed about this, even my family thought I had gone crazy and attributed it to my irrational thought process. My belief in higher power proved to be very strong. I completely trust that I am guided by a super natural force that guides my life.
But why did Krishna choose this particular devotee?
Is she or he very pious and devote person?
What characteristics do one need to possess to be blessed?
Should he/she be a brahmachari / brahmacharini without any family entanglements?
And what does blessing actually mean?
How is it visible?
Is it smooth sailing all through once you get the blessing?
Sooo many questions…..
One question that pops up into our mind…
How did the family realise Krishna’s presence in their house….?
A small ball of butter falling from the top; small footsteps appearing on the floor, a picture suddenly appearing on the white board as if drawn by a small child; peacock feather mysteriously appearing in front of Krishna statue; a smiley and handprint in the dhoop powder that fell from dhoop sticks….
A number of instances……

If I tell you these are just some of the miracles that this devotee and the family experienced, how would you react?
I know many would question whether I have any other proof and might say these photos can be photoshopped or edited by anyone. Keeping the proof part aside, I in turn question you, do you believe that Krishna exists and can chose to live with us devotees?
Not sure, are you?

Well it is true, all these leelas / miracles have happened and are still happening. But who is this devotee and the family?
The Devotee’s name is…..
KALPANA SURESH
Krishna has been living with her family from the past four and half years.
