Kalpana has a white board in her house. Suddenly one day a picture of Krishna appeared ,
and on another day Ganesh.
Once when Kalpana was praying there was a pearl chain on the side table next to where she was sitting. She heard a sound of something moving on the table. After completing the puja when she got up from the floor what did she see….
The pearl chain was arranged into the form of ‘K’.
Does it represent Krishna or Kalpana??
Around 4 years back...
One Friday afternoon, Krishna asked Kalpana if He can enter Adithya’s physical body.
Does He really need Kalpana’s permission?
But whatever He does He always requests permission from His Amma, Kalpana.
I think this is something this generation of kids need to learn and follow… giving respect to elders.
As usual Kalpana said ‘Unni Kanna, You don’t have to ask my permission. Please do as you wish’.
The next moment …
Adithya ran out of the living room like a wind.
Kalpana and her family were surprised and went in search of him. They could not find Adithya anywhere.
Suddenly what do they see…?
Adithya was sitting in a corner with a half kg butter packet, scooping out the butter and swallowing it. Kalpana had kept the butter packet on the water dispenser which she totally forgot. Normally Adithya hates eating butter but that day he ate the whole packet.
Krishna in Adithya’s body, can we expect Krishna to enter a human body in this way??
Adithya did so many naughty things that day which he would have never done consciously.
The whole family was sitting in the living room enjoying Adithya’s alias Krishna’s antics when suddenly Adithya pulled Suresh (Kalpana’s husband) with one hand and threw him to the floor. The next moment, He lifted him and put him on the chair. A few minutes later He again threw him on the floor.
Imagine an eleven year old child pulling and lifting a heavy person with just one hand… Does he have the strength and energy to do that?
Aditya jumped on to a table which was around four feet high without holding on to anything. We can jump from a height without support but jumping on to something… I don’t think it is feasible for normal humans, unless one is an athlete.
Adithya wanted to go horse riding on Suresh’s back. Poor Suresh, there was no choice for him… He had to oblige Krishna’s dictates. So he became a horse for Krishna... And how Krishna loved this ride… we can only imagine His playful naughtiness.

Krishna remained in Adithya’s body throughout the day and entertained Kalpana’s family. In the evening, He went out for a ride to see Sharjah and wanted to eat a veggie sandwich. He was so active that the whole family had to beg Him to let them sleep, as he was playing late into the night. Luckily, it was weekend (In UAE, we have Fridays and Saturdays as weekend).
The next day, when Adithya got up, he was very tired and could not recollect anything that he / Krishna had done.
Strange are Your leelas Krishna…

Krishna loves to smear the oil from diya on the floor and make the puja room messy. After a few times Kalpana asked Him ‘Kanna, who will clean all this mess. Amma cannot clean it all the time’. Surprisingly after some time all the oil used to disappear.
Sometimes the lights are all set ready with oil and ghee for Kalpana to light.
And some other times the diyas light up by themselves.
Once a peacock feather appeared on its own near the statue of Krishna.

Krishna loves to play with Manjadikuru / Lucky Red seeds (Coral wood seeds).
Anyone visiting Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple can see a big vessel full of Manjadikuru just outside the Sanctum Sanctorum. Devotees believe that Bala Krishna plays in this Manjadikuru bowl. Hence they buy the seeds and add to the bowl. Some put coins and play with them imitating Krishna’s play. Parents of small children leave them in this bowl to play with the seeds.
The importance of the Manjadikuru goes like this…
A long time ago, an ardent woman devotee of Krishna aspired to visit the temple in Guruvayur. She wanted to offer something for Krishna. As she was very poor she could not afford anything. She was fascinated by the seeds of a tree which were glossy and red. She began to collect them, hoping that one day she can carry them to the temple as a gift to the Lord. One by one she would pick them up from the ground, treating each one like a precious gem. Polishing them and keeping them safe from the rain and the dust. In her eyes, each of them glowed with warmth and radiance. She eagerly waited for the day when the Lord would see them. Although others laughed at her, she continued to do what she believed in.
Over a year the collection was built up and she had a large pouch full of Manjadikuru. Leaving the safety of her home and her loved ones, she set out on foot towards the temple. Her home was in a hilly province and she had to travel across rivers and deep forests as she moved towards her destination. She met people on the way. Some of them discouraged her. Some of them applauded her. But she didn’t care. Her mind was set on the temple and its deity and with single-minded focus she trudged on. Every morning she would wake up with stiff joints, throughout the day her body would ache and at night she would collapse on the wayside in a tired stupor. In her mind she was aware that she may never be able to do this again in her life but in her eyes that was a dream and on her lips there was a smile. Forty four daunting days later, she arrived in the temple city of Guruvayur. Unfamiliar and tired, she stumbled through the streets, forcing her body to make the last mile too.
Finally she arrived at the temple portals. She heard people talking amongst themselves about the special day at the temple. Apparently the day was the first of that month and the local ruler or Naduvaazhi would visit the temple on the first of every month. To display his devotion, he would submit an elephant every month as an offering to Krishna. Hearing these tales, the woman carefully made her way to the inner precincts with her pouch.
The officers of the Naaduvazhi were clearing people from the path to make way for the ruler. In their arrogance and pettiness, they were unable to distinguish between wayfarers and devotees. Mercilessly they insulted devotees and trampled on children to get them out of their way. The woman tried to balance her pouch of Manjadikuru so that she would not lose them but the officers insulted and mocked her and physically shoved her out of the area. When the trumpeting of the Naaduvazhi’s elephant was heard the officers pushed the woman aside. She fell down and the pouch opened and all the red seeds got scattered all over. A tear from the woman’s eye fell on the temple floor.
Immediately the Naaduvazhi’s elephant went berserk and ran amok in the temple. People ran for their lives as the mad elephant started to destroy things within the temple. Unable to control the elephant, the Naaduvazhi prayed to Krishna for a solution. A voice was heard from within the temple – “Where is my Manjadikuru? Where is my devotee, who you have insulted and hurt? Where is my gift that she lovingly put together?”
Realizing their foolishness, the officers apologized to the woman and gathered the red seeds that were scattered all over. Filling her pouch for her, she was escorted to the sanctum sanctorum with her lucky red seeds. After she submitted the offering, the elephant returned to normal. In memory of that devotee’s offering, even to this day, a big uruli (bowl) full of Manjadikuru is kept within the temple. (https://manjadikuru.wordpress.com/2008/04/03/a-tale-to-tell-from-guruvayur/)
Krishna also shows His love for the Manjadikuru in Kalpana’s house too.
She keeps a bowl of the same in front of Krishna. Sometimes she can see small finger dips in the bowl. Sometimes they are seen on the floor. The seeds in the bowl get reduced as if He is throwing them away while playing.
He asks for lemon juice at any time of the day. Kalpana keeps a stock of lemons in the fridge as the demand can come even at 1 AM in the night. So she keeps herself prepared.
The standard request for Naivedhyam during any festival is ‘Pal Payasam’. He is soo fond of it.

Many a time the grocer comes to her house with items that were ordered and goes back grumbling. The reason…
Kalpana had not placed the order at all. The grocer would insist that they had received the call from her landline and that it was she who had ordered.
Any guesses on who made these calls and ordered….
