Where it all started?
Episode - 2
Kalpana and her family visited Udupi in 2008.
Kalpana and her family visited Udupi in 2008.
She attributes the knowledge of their blessings to this visit. Unknown to her, her tryst with Krishna started somewhere in her childhood in Alleppey, Kerala. Her father was a lawyer and mother a college professor. The family used to live in their grandparent’s home. As was the tradition, there was a separate puja room in the house. She was around 9 years old. Whenever she used to open the puja room door she would be shocked.
Why??
They had a picture of Unni Krishna (same picture as below) in the puja room. Lo and behold she would see Krishna winking at her.

Surprised and confused she took it as her imagination on the first day.
How else would a 9 year old think?
But wait….
When it happens every day…
Can she discuss this with her family?
Will they believe her?
What if they think it was a figment of imagination and make fun of her.
Can she cope with it?
Fearing ridicule, she kept quiet and Krishna continued playing chupa chup with her till she moved out of the house to go to college.
Krishna then left her alone to live her life… finish her education, get married and have children.

But can He leave the chosen one like that without peeping into her life once in a while?
Exactly…
When in college she vividly remembers two dreams….
As I said in the previous episode IF WE CAN CONNECT THE DOTS IN OUR LIFE, THE PATH WILL BE OBVIOUS.
She is now able to see the patterns in her life that were indicative of her blessings.
In one of the dreams Krishna showed His Viswaroopam.

And in another, she saw Nagaraj slithering down from Shiva’s throat and drinking milk from a bowl.
How long can He wait?
Time had come for Sri Krishna to take baby steps back into her life.
But how and when?
Was he trying to test her belief before showing His presence?
In March 2008, Kalpana and her family visited Udipi Sri Krishna temple. They completed the darshan of Sri Krishna and were rushing out to visit Mookambika temple which is around 75km away.
Sri Krishna temple in Udipi is considered as one of the holiest places in South India and is around 60 Kms from Mangalore.
Suddenly a young Brahmin (between 20-25 years) came to them and asked if they had prasadam. In Sri Krishna temple there is a tradition of serving bhojan (lunch) to the devotees as prasadam.
The family replied that they were in a hurry and hence needed to forego partaking of prasadam. The Brahmin insisted and said " You cannot leave without taking prasadam. Follow me "
Having no other choice they followed him.
Can you imagine where he led them to……..
Most South Indian temples have separate bhojan areas for Brahmins and Non-Brahmins. Kalpana’s family were shocked to see themselves seated in the area serving only Brahmins.
Keeping in mind their travel plans they quickly finished their lunch and came out. Suddenly the young Brahmin appeared again and led them towards the exit.
While walking he asked Kalpana’s husband ‘Are you working in Dubai?’
Surprised how this man knew where they came from, her husband answered in the affirmative.
How did the young man know where they came from??
They were normal devotees who had come to take darshan of Sri Krishna. They did not know anyone in Udipi and did not discuss where they came from with anyone.
Was Lord indicating something to them?
Looking at the family he said ‘You have Krishna’s blessing. Lord Krishna is coming with you to your house. Your son here is Bala Krishna’.
Saying so he left suddenly.
What can one say when someone proclaims that they have Krishna’s blessing and that Bhagawan will follow them to live in their house?
Would you have believed if someone said the same thing to you?
Are we really that blessed to have God or Goddess living with us?
The same questions were going on in their minds.
Not taking this incident very seriously they made their way to complete their journey.
Did the young man’s declaration come true? But when?
