Episode 115
Sai Baba and His Beloved Devotee - 3
Baba took Sai Maa on Astral walk and revealed why and how she is connected to Him.
Her life is like a movie with lot of surprises and quite magical. She herself is very surprised why Baba is giving darshan.
She realized that there is a past life connection with Baba which she does not want to share with everyone until Baba gives permission. Because as human many would question the reality of this and doubt her story. However all those who have trust and belief in the higher being would definitely believe in it.

She says that those who have a deep understanding that Baba is still alive and showing His presence to different people around the world would certainly trust that these miracles do happen.
Baba is with her always guiding what to do, whom to avoid, whom to meet, whom to connect with. There are so many people who want to come to Dwarkamai (according to Baba her house is His another Dwarkamai where He always stays).
Many a time she thinks whether this is really a fact or merely a dream. But there are so many evidences that what is happening is real and she is not dreaming.

One among many incidents that proved it is a fact…
It was 1st August, 2013, Sai Maa went to sleep around 10.30 pm with Baba in her heart. At around 12.30 she suddenly felt like someone was lifting up her body. She felt so light as if she was hanging in air. She was shocked and wondered what was happening to her, where was she going.
To her surprise, she saw Baba holding her hand and lifting her up in air, almost like how we lift small kids. She saw herself, walking holding Baba’s hand. Her hand was held by Baba very tightly as if He wanted me to walk safely. To her wonder she was literally running with Baba. Baba was walking very fast and so to catch up with Him she had to run.
It was a very dense jungle with mud and pebbles all around. She was walking, no running on them holding Baba’s hand.
Suddenly to her amazement, Baba called “BAYAJA MAA !!! Please come fast”.

She was like, what???
Why is Baba calling me by this name??
(Bayaja Bai Maa, She was the mother of Tatya and Baba said that she has been His sister for the last seven births).
Baba called her BAYAJA MAA 3-4 times and said “Maa, do you know why I am giving you darshan? You were my BAYAJA MAA who looked after me like your own son in Shirdi. You were in Shirdi in your last two births and this is your last birth. After this birth you are going to attain moksha.”
A few minutes later they both entered a hut which was very very old. There she saw a photo frame that was also very old. When she looked closely in the frame she saw reflection of Baba and Abdul Baba. She also saw 9 old lamps lying with a very old wick in them. Baba asked her to light those lamps and also told her that this was a pending work that she was supposed to complete. And that is why Baba had taken her to the jungle.

Once she lit the lamps, Baba gave her some prasad to eat. She was in total dilemma whether this was really happening. She also thought how lucky was she that she is able to walk with Baba.
She lifted her head and looked at Him with all love of a mother looking at her son. Baba then explained to her how she used to take care of him in Shirdi running around in jungle just to feed him. Baba said that she was so full of love and care and even today carry the same feeling and she is a perfect mother.
They then started their return journey with the same speed. They was back on the on pebbles and mud in jungle. At last Baba dropped her in her bed. At that same moment she suddenly felt like she had fall down from a very high mountain. In the morning when she woke up she heard her husband calling her by her name and was looking at her feet. Her feet were swollen up and completely covered with mud.

Wondering how this happened he asked me ‘What is all this? Whole night you were sleeping on bed and how come your feet are covered with mud and swollen. Then Sai Maa realized that she really took an astral walk with Baba where only soul travels while the physical body is on the earth. She recalled how she was walking with Baba and that He called her BAYJAA MAA.
It was her last birth love and care for Baba which forced Him to give her darshan in this birth.
She says Baba is her life and her life without baba is incomplete.
Such a blessed soul. We are in fact so lucky and blessed to have talked to her and able to write her story.
Bayaja Bai:

The moment Baba saw Bayaja Bai, he said, “She has been my sister for the last seven births”. Right from the time she met Baba as a young lad sitting under the neem tree, the parental feelings were aroused for Baba as if He was her son. Mrs. Bayaja Patil showered love and cared for young Baba who abruptly would rush to the cactus jungle, an unknown old isolated place. Bayaja Bai, used to go to the woods every noon with a basket on her head containing bread and vegetables. She roamed in the jungles koss (about 3 miles) after koss, trampling over bushes and shrubs in search of the mad Fakir, and after hunting Him out, fell at His feet. The Fakir sat calm and motionless in meditation, while she placed a leaf before Him, spread the eatables, bread, vegetables etc. thereon and fed Him forcibly. She give Him bread (Bhakari) and salty smash of chana dal (Jhunka) and onion and chilly, simple food items which Baba cherished most. Baba also used to pay a visit to Patil’s house to have lunch (bhojan) of His choice.
Later Saibaba used to go for bhiksha (begging food) to selected houses. One such place was Bayaja Bai’s place. Baba used to stand outside the gate and say loudly “Abade Ajaad Bayaja mami, Roti lao” (God bless you Mother Bayaja, please give bread).

Then Bayaja Bai used to invite him into the house but Baba sat in the veranda only. Tatya used to play with Baba against the wish of his mother. Baba never felt for the child like behaviour of Tatya. Bayaja Bai is remembered for her service to Sai with or without knowing his divinity.
When Bayaja Bai, became physically weak due to old age and was not in a condition even to get up from bed, Baba ordered Tatya to remain at the bedside of his mother and do service to her. Now and then He would send Tatya’s close associates like Shama also to be with Tatya. Bayaja Bai was nearing her end. She wanted to see Baba once. Immediately, Baba appeared near her head. His appearance at this last moment gave her divine bliss. Some unexplained joy came to her. She felt that her Atman was happily going towards heaven. Perhaps, this feeling was due to the complete divine darshan Baba gave her. She wanted to say something but words did not come out of her. She took her son Tatya’s hand and put it on Baba’s hand. Having understood her thoughts, Baba assured her that he would look after Tatya from that moment more than his life. She knew that his words were God’s words. After hearing those words from Baba, her Atman left her body and merged in the universe.
When Bayaja Bai expired Baba lamented over her demise. So was the unthinkable tie of love between Bayaja Bai and her family, and Baba the love incarnate.
Wonderful was her faith and service. Her service, Upasana or Penance, by whatever name we call it, was never forgotten by Baba till his Maha Samadhi. Remembering fully what service she rendered, Baba benefited her son magnificently. Both the son and the mother had great faith in the Fakir, Who was their God. Baba often said to them that “Fakiri (Mendicancy) was the real Lordship as it was everlasting, and the so called Lordship (riches) was transient”.
The present generation of Patil family, still observe meticulously and very religiously the ritual of giving offerings of Thali (Naivedya) containing the above mentioned food items to Baba at Dwarakamayi.
